Basics
The basic story line to dragonball z is after the earlier series Dragonball Goku and friends settledown after dangerous and exciting adventures collecting Dragonballs. Saiya-jin Saga: The saiya-jin saga is the first saga of Dragonball Z. Goku's brother Raditz comes down to earth and explains his past and why he was on earth. Raditz, Piccolo and Goku fight and Goku and Raditz die! Goku for the first time DEAD! Not a good start for Dbz but luckily he comes back after he is informed that two more from his home planet Vegeta were coming and they were even more powerful than Raditz. He went to King Kaio and trained for one year. The two saiya-jins came down. They were Nappa the not so important and Prince Vegeta who gets an extremely important role throughout Dbz.
Frieza Saga: The Frieza saga is when Goku's son Gohan, Kururin and Bulma go off to a planet called Namek to find the Dragonballs to revive. Yamucha, Tienshinhan and Chiaotzu back to life. There they run into Vegeta who had returned to his base and healed after the battle with Gohan and Goku in the saiya-jin saga. Then they run into the most powerful force in the universe Frieza! Frieza fights Vegeta and since Vegeta had done alot of Trianing and preparing they had equal power. Frieza transforms and then again. Then again then finally again. Goku arrives on Namek in time to save them all. Vegeta is destroyed and so is Kururin. Goku goes mental when Kururin dies and he goes Super Saiya-jin for the first time in both Dragonball and Dragonball Z. He beats Frieza and Vegeta and Kururin and Yamucha, Tienshinhan and Chiaotzu are wished back.
The rest of it is all abouit there battles, Later on Vegeta and Gohan are able to go Super Saiya-jin. Vegeta marries Bulma and has a child called Trunks who can also go Super Saiya-jin. Chi Chi and Goku have another child Called Goten and he can also go Super Saiya-jin. Gohan gets a girl friend called Videl and the most terrible force in the universe comes to earth. the battles are Garlic Jr, Frieza (returns but is killed by Trunks), Android 17, 18(who later on marries Kururin and have a girl called Marron), Android 16. Cell and finally Majin Buu.
